Two months after losing the F.A.Cup Final an almost similar team played out a high scoring draw at Bournemouth.
Glenn Hoddle had departed to Monaco and been replaced by Johnny Metgod with the other summer signing Chris Fairclough playing while Nico Claesen started ahead of Clive Allen.
According to the Spurs handbook the goals were scored by Chris Waddle, Steve Hodge and Clive Allen (2) who came on as a substitute.
